Martin Sherry, LCSW
Martin Sherry, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, is a graduate of Columbia University School of Social Work in New York who specializes in the treatment of individuals struggling with all types of addictive behaviors. Martin Sherry has a private practice in New York.
Marty began work in the field of addiction in 1987. He facilitates groups that address relapse prevention skills and work with the family system to assist all members to establish and maintain their individual recoveries. Marty was the Clinical Director of The Midtown Center for Treatment and Research, a part of Cornell Medical College Division of Public Health. He held that position from 1999 to 2008. Prior to that, he was the Assistant Vice President of Substance Abuse Services for St. Johns Riverside hospital in Yonkers NY. As a Faculty member of the National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, he lectures on relapse prevention in addition to instructing students on Ethical & Professional Behavior.
